(PITTSBURGH – June 22, 2023) – Opus 2, a leader in cloud-based solutions for the legal sector, has announced the opening of a new office in downtown Pittsburgh. Located at the Federated Hermes Tower, Opus 2’s presence in Pittsburgh enables more rapid expansion while maintaining the company’s excellence in client service.

The Pittsburgh office provides a U.S. East Coast operations center to complement the company’s San Francisco office and global 24/7 support services.

Growth is accelerating in North America as more lawyers are adopting Opus 2. More than 80 percent of the Am Law 100, as well as many leading regional firms and litigation boutiques, are now using Opus 2 Case Management, and the company recently announced the launch of Opus 2 Investigations.  Further, Opus 2’s pipeline includes solutions beyond litigation which enable firms to build their connected digital practice across more practice groups.

“We are excited about our expansion in Pittsburgh, which will support our continued growth in the U.S.,” said Don Fuchs, Senior Vice President of Global Software Sales at Opus 2. “Our success is directly attributed to our highly skilled people who are committed to delivering the best solutions and services to our clients,” he added.

Pittsburgh’s innovation ecosystem is robust including more than 1,800 tech companies in addition to fast-growing start-ups and research-driven enterprises.  Pittsburgh is also home to not one, but two, Tier 1 universities: Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh. Both are globally recognized R&D powerhouses that propel tech transfer and commercialization.

“This is a fantastic city for us to grow our teams when considering the access Pittsburgh provides to a world-class talent pool and the great quality of life our employees can have here,” said Fuchs.

“We are thrilled to welcome Opus 2 to Pittsburgh.  This investment underscores a culture, here in the region and across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, that affirms we are open for investment from domestic and international businesses,” said Mike Harding, Vice President, Business Investment at the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance (PRA), the economic development affiliate of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development.  The PRA markets the Pittsburgh region for new business investment and the growth of existing businesses, as well as talent attraction and retention.

“For companies that are transforming how we live, work and do business, our innovation-supportive ecosystem is there to support launch, growth and scaling.  We want the Pittsburgh region to be part of every stage of their success,” said Harding.
